Non-Annual GVW Plates Still Need To Be Renewed

The Governor’s recent Executive Order that allows for an extension of expired vehicle registrations and licenses to June 30, 2020 is only in effect for those that expired after March 1, 2020. For those companies who have three or six month Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) registrations that expired prior to March 1 (most likely expired last year), an appointment with the Secretary of State (SOS) will have to be scheduled to get those registrations renewed.

As with titles and registrations for new vehicles, MITA can help to facilitate a meeting with SOS for you. We are asking all MITA members who have GVW registrations that expired prior to March 1, 2020, to please send a copy of your registration renewal information to lancebinoniemi@thinkmita.org, along with a contact name, phone number and email address, so the SOS office can make contact with you directly to schedule a time to renew the registration(s).

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lance Binoniemi, Vice President of Government Affairs, at lancebinoniemi@thinkmita.org.
