GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Some Northeast Wisconsin teachers walked the red carpet Tuesday night.

The latest Get Real Math and Get Real Science videos debuted at the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance's annual Get Real Math & Science Video Premiere at the Meyer Theatre.

The premiere recognizes teachers with a red carpet and photographers as well as a chance to win prizes.

Good Day Wisconsin's very own Pete Petoniak was the emcee for the event.

The Get Real videos aim to answer a question students often ask in the classroom: "When will I ever use this in the real world?" The free educational videos spotlight "real-world" problems at manufacturing companies, such as Georgia-Pacific and Sargento Foods.

The concept was developed by a math teacher looking for a way to show students how her curriculum applied to the real world.

Since its beginning in 2014, the organization has released over 60 Get Real Math videos.

In 2021, the organization released the first Get Real Science videos.
