ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WAOW) --Â Project SEARCH of Aspirus Wausau is celebrating the newest graduates of its program Thursday.
Eight young adults with disabilities were recognized for completing internships that taught them vital skills for applying for and maintaining jobs.
Each student received a certificate of completion in a ceremony at the Central Wisconsin Convention Center.
Travis Peterson, a graduate, is especially thankful for the guidance he's had from staff and feels he's learned a lot of valuable information.
"Leadership and teamwork, because all throughout high school, you can learn all that there, but when you get into this program, you could learn a whole lot more," Peterson said.
There will be a similar ceremony in Marshfield for its Project SEARCH graduates Friday afternoon.
