Marshfield School Board Approves Handbooks, Policies, and More

The Marshfield School Board approved several items at their meeting on Wednesday.

The Board approved the Middle School Student Handbook and approved a resolution to adopt the Wisconsin Public School District and Related Records General Records Schedule. The Board also approved a long list of policies and approved the Family & Consumer Science Curriculum.

The Board also had the first reading of the Business & Information Technology Curriculum and Driver Education Curriculum. Those items will be brought back to the May meeting. They also approved the Support Staff Handbook.

They also had the first reading of the Substitute Staff Handbook and Extended Duty/Coaching/Advisor Handbook. Again, they will be brought back to the May meeting. The Board also approved the Contract Renewal for Professional Staff, approved the Summer School 2024 Budget, and approved a budget amendment.

The Board also approved student travel to Washington, D.C. for the FFA Washington Leadership Conference in June. The Board also approved a handful of donations including:

• $5,000 to support student travel to the SMART Team competition in San Antonio, TX from Christy & Troy Rens;
• $1,066.24 from American Online Giving Foundation;
• $856.42 to Grant Elementary from the PTO for bussing Grade 6 students to Camp Forest Springs;
• 150 Tupperware water bottles valued at $900 from Katherine Fleisner to Madison Elementary.

The Board also approved some retirements, resignations, and new personnel.
