Darlington hires new high school principal
Redbird

DARLINGTON – The Darlington School Board of Education approved at their board meeting Monday night, June 7, the hiring of Rich Moyer as the new high school principal after former principal Aaron Lancaster passed away in March.

“I’m excited to become a member of the Redbird Team and work alongside the BOE, administration, staff, students, families and local business partners to help continue the rich tradition of excellence in Darlington,” Moyer said.

Moyer is the current principal and athletic director at Belmont. Prior to Belmont, he was the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Wisconsin Heights and worked in the Shirland and Pecatonica, Illinois school districts before moving to Wisconsin in 2014.

“I’m happy to welcome Mr. Moyer to Darlington,” says school board president Aaron Wolfe. “I’m excited for the leadership he will provide for our staff and students. I look forward to working with him, our other administrators, and the board to continue the great things that are happening in our schools.”

Moyer has been in education for 17 years and will begin at Darlington on July 1.
