(WHBL) – There’s been one change caused by the pandemic that may be around for some time: the demise of the school snow day.
The arrival of virtual learning almost everywhere has prompted some school districts, such as Plymouth, to do away with snow days altogether and simply go virtual, as is the case today. The Sheboygan Falls School District has that same policy in place.
In Random Lake, the first snow day – which already occurred – isn’t made up, but second and subsequent days will go virtual, and students were sent home with their devices on Wednesday just in case.
As for the Sheboygan Area District, virtual learning was not listed as an option when weather forces classes to cancel.
