Local school district beats the odds

The principals at Hackett and Robinson Elementary Schools in Beloit are likely happy about being singled out by the Department of Public Instruction. Hackett and Robinson are being recognized as “Beating the Odds” schools. District Chief of Communications Monica Krysztopa says the acknowledgement signifies Hackett and Robinson are in the top 25% of comparable high poverty schools for reading and math scores. The principals for Hackett and Robinson attribute the achievement to the collaboration and hard work between students, parents, and teachers.
