As technology continues to evolve, so too do the means and avenues for conducting international trade. In an effort to catch the ship before it sails, U.S. Customs & Border Protection has embarked on a new initiative – "The 21st Century Customs Framework" or "21CCF" – intended to recast how CBP conducts business and manages and enforces overall trade. This initiative is in the early stages of development and adoption, and provides the trade community with a unique opportunity to help direct where CBP goes next. Coupled with more-general changes in CBP's day-to-day practices, this program will review the five pillars of the 21CCF while also discussing what importers, exporters and 3PLs may do to better-position themselves for the road ahead. This is a joint program of the World Trade Center - KC and the Greater KC Foreign Trade Zone.

Speaker: Jeremy Page

Jeremy Page is a founding partner of the Chicago-based international trade law firm, Page•Fura, P.C.
